Getting to WCI
The main campus of WCI is located in Joondalup, 25 kilometres north of Perth, or just a 27 minute train ride.
It is located in the
Joondalup Learning Precinct, which includes Edith Cowan University (ECU).
All of the campus locations are a short walk from public transport, provided by
Transperth, including the bus and train. In Western Australia you will be eligible for a
student discount on all public transport.
There is a free Central Area Transit (CAT) bus that operates within the Joondalup Central Business District (CBD) and learning precinct, which provides frequent services around the city.
JOONDALUP – Kendrew Campus
Academy of Digital Technologies
With a state-of-the-art learning environment featuring the latest in industry software, motion capture equipment and an animation studio the
Academy of Digital Technologies (ADT) has a reputation for excellence in the delivery of high quality training and producing award winning graduates in a range of information technology industries and disciplines.
The Academy is at the forefront of digital media including animation, 3D modelling, augmented reality and Computer Generated Imagery.
Academy of Hospitality and Culinary Arts
West Coast Academy of Hospitality & Culinary Arts, partners with industry and offers a range of live and realistic training environments to prepare students for employment in the culinary and front of house service industries.
The Academy is the only Australian education provider to date to be awarded the prestigious World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) award for excellence in culinary education.
Facilities include two skills kitchen, pastry & baking kitchen, barista training room, beverage training bar, fully functioning training restaurant and function rooms.
JOONDALUP – Mclarty Campus
Academy of Health Sciences
Based at the Institute’s McLarty campus, the
Academy uses a combination of online, classroom, simulated environments and on-the-job training, to deliver high quality and relevant skills training to students and health care professionals in the nursing and allied health industries.
Academy students conduct practicums in a variety of interesting job placements in public and private hospitals, aged care facilities, GP clinics, mental health clinics and community health facilities.
Trades North, the Institute's face of trades training and is only a 10 minute drive from the Institute’s main Joondalup campus (Kendrew). It is easily accessible via public transport from Joondalup and Clarkson train/bus stations.
A $23m modern and environmentally friendly building, the campus has been designed to demonstrate ‘green’ practices and draw on methods of energy efficiency, water efficiency and waste minimisation. With a green economy focus, environmental practices will be embedded into every course in order to prepare students for employment in an economy demanding environmentally conscious employees.
Trades North provides trade-training programs in the areas of brick/block laying, plastering, wall and ﬂoor tiling, carpentry and horticulture.
Certificates awarded to students graduating from cookery courses at West Coast will also include the WACS (World Association Chefs Societies) - Recognition of Quality Culinary Education.
