This qualification will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to work as a carpenter in the domestic housing industry or commercial construction area. You will learn to use basic carpentry tools, power tools and equipment, read and interpret plans, handle carpentry materials and construct pitched roof, ceiling frames and flooring systems. Carpentry formwork skills in preparation for concrete are also included. The qualification includes work experience at various building sites.
Admission Requirements
To gain admission to this qualification you need to meet the minimum entry requirement equivalent to Australian Year 10 with a pass in Mathematics. Refer to the admission requirements for your country.
