This course provides you with the practical skills and knowledge you need to participate in planning and managing plant shutdowns and taking a leading role in the establishment of systems intended to prevent or enable responses to incidents or emergencies. You will learn about safety case preparation, incident response management, plant documentation and environmental impacts of the process.
To gain admission to this course you need to meet the minimum entry requirement equivalent to Australian Year 12 with passes in English and Maths.

This course is taught at the Australian Centre for Energy and Process Training (ACEPT) which is the leading provider of process operations training for the Australian oil and gas, mineral and chemical processing industries. The Centre is located in the suburb of Munster (near Challenger’s Fremantle Campus). This facility is owned and operated by Challenger on behalf of the Western Australian Government. ACEPT services the workforce development requirements of companies involved in the North West Shelf offshore oil and gas industry.
ACEPT features a full-scale process plant and process control equipment that provides a hands-on experience in a real-life industry environment
$14,000 per year
Certificate III - $1,000 per semester
