Overview

Situated in the South West of Western Australia, the South West Regional College of TAFE offers a broad range of training opportunities associated with the region's diverse economic activity which encompasses mining, primary industries, such as horticulture, viticulture and timber growing, as well as the buoyant tourism, retail, manufacturing, construction and service sectors.

Our Campuses

The College offers modern, purpose built facilities and student amenities at its main campus in Bunbury, and provides training programs through its regional campuses in Busselton, Collie, Harvey, Margaret River and Manjimup.

Bunbury Campus

The Bunbury Campus is the largest of the campuses and is the administrative heart of the South West Regional College of TAFE.

The College has a policy of maintaining the technological edge and students are trained using the equipment and machinery regarded as industry standard.
A fully functional restaurant, The Epicure, offers a fine dining experience and doubles as an excellent training facility for hospitality and commercial cookery students. The small and large scale kitchens boast the full range of equipment required in a commercial kitchen and are unparalleled in the region.

Together with an extensive range of courses, this campus offers well appointed lecture venues, excellent library facilities and an open learning centre. A residence, child care centre and bookshop are some of the other amenities available.

The Bunbury campus is also co-located with a newly established senior secondary college Manea College and Edith Cowan University Regional College. The close working relationship between the three educational facilities broadens learning pathways available to students.

Busselton Campus

The Busselton Campus is the second largest of the six campuses and serves the needs of the rapidly expanding and economically vibrant coastal town of Busselton and its environs. It is ideally located adjacent to the local high school and is situated in picturesque surroundings.

The Busselton Campus offers an ideal learning environment - where personal attention to individual students' needs has become a distinctive hallmark which, together with the professionalism of its staff, has acted as a catalyst for superb vocational training.

As a centre of excellence in art and design, the Busselton campus frequently hosts world class art exhibitions. There is a strong focus on providing tourism training in this region since Busselton is a preferred holiday destination for many tourists to the South West.

Margaret River Education Campus

The Margaret River Campus is located in the heart of an area renowned for the world class wine it produces.

Incorporating a Centre of Wine Excellence the world class wine training facility at the Margaret River Education Campus features laboratories and workshops that are unparalleled in the region ensuring that students derive not only the best theoretical but also sound practical training in all facets of wine industry training including wine grape growing, wine making and cellar door sales. The sophisticated research and tasting facilities coupled with a working winery for hands-on experience makes this the premier provider of wine industry training for the cultivation, manufacture and bottling, as well as the promotion of wine sales at the cellar door.

The surrounding wineries, pristine beaches and delightful intimacy and friendliness of the region ensure that this region remains an attractive tourist destination region for local, interstate and international visitors.
