West Coast Institute’s New Campus in Clarkson

Trades North in Clarkson is certainly setting the benchmark when it comes to the construction trades. This state of the art building is offering students a range of courses in the construction trades including:

Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying

Certificate III in Carpentry

Certificate III in Solid Plastering

Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling

These two year qualifications are designed to provide students with the skills and work experience for careers in the building and construction industry. These courses are also on the Commonwealth Government’s Skilled Occupation List which identifies those occupations where there is a skills shortage in Australia. The students studying at Trades North in Clarkson will also simultaneously undertake subjects in the Certificate IV in Small Business Management at no extra cost to the student. Therefore the students will be eligible for both qualifications after two years.
