About West Coast TAFE

Overview

At West Coast TAFE (Joondalup Campus) you will find dozens of courses, linking to exciting career options in more than 15 speciality training areas.

We are a leader in providing high-quality, practical training programs in contemporary facilities.

As part of the exciting Joondalup Learning Precinct (JLP), which includes the WA Police Academy and Edith Cowan University, West Coast TAFE offers a unique learning environment that provides pathways to employment and further education.

Our Campuses

West Coast TAFE delivers all of its programs from one large, spacious campus at Joondalup.

Joondalup Campus

Conveniently located in the rapidly growing North Metropolitan Region of Perth, just 20 minute drive along the freeway from Central Perth, the campus is excellently served by public transport and is a pleasant 5-minute walk from the Joondalup train station, Joondalup City Centre and other outstanding shopping, recreational and community services.

West Coast TAFE sits amid picturesque lakes, parks and natural bush-land. Water birds, parrots and kangaroos share the campus with staff and students, contributing to the relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Facilities

Facilities at our Joondalup campus include:
  • Fully-equipped computer labs with internet access.
  • Well-equipped libraries with access to computers, videos, reference books, language learning materials and international newspapers.
  • Bookshop, restaurants, outdoor alfresco areas and garden courtyard.

Specialist Centres

First Class Restaurant on-campus

West Coast TAFE has a first class 5 star training restaurant available for students, staff or members of the public.

The Pavilion Restaurant is an 80-seat a la carte, al fresco style restaurant provides a formal setting to train students in a la carte. The licensed restaurant is open to the public for lunch from Tuesday to Friday and dinner from Tuesday to Thursday.

A modern barista coffee facility which seats 16 people is a specialised setting providing training for work in smaller establishments.


Certificate & Diploma Courses

West Coast TAFE offers qualifications to international students in over 40 subjects at Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels. Our main program areas include:

Student Activities & Lifestyle

There is more to being an international student than study. There a plenty of fantastic things to do and see in Perth and many of them are free. We have great parks and beaches and lovely weather to enjoy them. If you need ideas on what to do or where to go in Perth, come and speak to the staff in the International Student Centre.
