General Entry Requirements and Pre-requisites

Entry into this course requires the equivalent of Australian Year 10 with passes in English.

For Yr 10-11 and Yr 12 academic equivalence, please refer to the Entry Requirements Summary (PDF) for your relevant country. This also details the normal English proficiency standard needed.


What You'll Learn in This Course

Students learn skills on how to select, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain electronic, computer, renewable energy, and industrial equipment and devices at component or sub-assembly level. This course also provides a specialisation for electrical drafting.


Career Outcomes

Graduates can gain employment as an assembler, technical sales consultant, draftsperson, or technician. In these roles you will be qualified to perform duties associated with the drawing, selection, installation, set up, testing, fault-finding, repair and maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment.
