This course provides training in the areas of branch environments, commercial and retail lending and small business banking. Students learn about workplace practices in a financial services industry, leadership, banking and service strategies. They also learn about banking and financial systems with a broad perspective of the environment of business.

General Entry Requirements and Pre-requisites

Entry into this course requires the equivalent of Australian Year 12 with passes in English and Maths or completion of the Certificate III in Financial Services - Accounts Clerical.

For Yr 10-11 and Yr 12 academic equivalence, please refer to the Entry Requirements Summary (PDF) for your relevant country. This also details the normal English proficiency standard needed.


Career Outcomes

Successful completion of this qualification provides students with the opportunity to become a lending officer or a customer services officer in the banking industry.


Further Study & University Options

Successful completion of the Diploma may allow students to continue further studies at university in related subjects. Please contact your specific university of interest for more details on entry.
